Wilmer Z Martin

Wilmer Z. Martin, 44, of 38 Orchard Road, Rockland Township, died Thursday, December 31, 2009 in the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Derry Township, Dauphin County, where he was a patient since December 22, 2009. He was the husband of Mattie M. (Burkholder) Martin. They were married November 16, 1985.

Born in Allentown, PA he was a son of the late Harvey W. and Mary Ann (Zimmerman) Martin. He was a member of the Weaverland Conference of Mennonites attending Walnuttown Mennonite Church. He was employed as an excavator for R & F Excavating, Sinking Spring, for 19 years.

Martin, East Earl, Lancaster Co., Luke Z. and Ernest Z. Martin both of Fleetwood and Irvin Z. Martin of Kutztown; Sisters, Helen Z. (Martin) wife of James A. Feeg, Robesonia, Anna Ruth (Martin) wife of Allen D. Burkholder, Newmanstown, Lebanon County, Nora Z. Martin, Robesonia, Frances Z. (Martin) wife of Paul B. Shirk, Cayuga, NY, Arlene Z. (Martin) wife of Elmer M. Burkholder, Withee, WI, Grace Z. (Martin) wife of Richard L. Snyder, Port Byron, NY. He was predeceased by Sisters, Vera Z. (Martin) widow of Linford R. Snyder, Lebanon, and Mary Ella Z. (Martin) widow of Melvin N. Hoover, Schoeneck, Lancaster County.

Funeral Services are Monday, January 4, 2010 at 8:45 AM from his late residence at 38 Orchard Road, Rockland Township, with services continuing at 9:30 AM at Walnuttown Mennonite Church, Pleasant Hill Road, Walnuttown. Interment in the church cemetery. Friends may call Sunday 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM in Walnuttown Mennonite Church. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.>>
