William R. Luckenbill

William R. "Billy" Luckenbill, 84, of Bowers, died Friday, February 18, 2022, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the widower of Elaine M. (Mantz) Luckenbill, who died June 24, 2013, and whom he married on August 9, 1958. Most recently, Billy was the companion of Betty J. (Zettlemoyer) Hottenstein, with whom he resided. Born in Lyon Station, William was a son of Daniel O. and Edna M. (Rader) Luckenbill.  He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Bowers.  Billy was the Owner / Operator of Luckenbill's Auto Service, Bowers, for 51 years, retiring in 2003.  He was also a member of Bowers Lions Club and the Automotive Association of America.

William is survived by daughters: Susan E. (Luckenbill), wife of Rodney W. Gable, Pottsville; Kathleen L. (Luckenbill), wife of Keith A. Frederick, Moyock, NC; Beth A. (Luckenbill), wife of Rick A. Jackowski, Mohrsville; and Amy R. Luckenbill-Wheeler, companion of Victor Coe, Virginia Beach, VA; and one son, Gary W. Luckenbill, companion of Colleen K. Albright, Kempton.  Other survivors include a sister, Virginia (Luckenbill), wife of Harvey Silfies, Kutztown; Fourteen Grandchildren and Sixteen Great Grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Elaine, and parents, William was predeceased by granddaughter, Briana Luckenbill; a sister, Mildred (Luckenbill) Rahn; and a brother, Richard Luckenbill.

A Memorial Service to Honor and Celebrate William's Life will be held on Saturday, February, 26, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at Hope Lutheran Church, 550 Fleetwood Road, Bowers, with The Reverend Elizabeth A. Haines, officiating.  Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation with the family from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, prior to services.  Inurnment in Ebenezer Union Cemetery, New Tripoli, will be private at the convenience of the family.
