William L Bauer

William L. Bauer, 68, of Alburtis, died Sunday, March 6, 2011 in his residence. He was the husband of Carolyn A. (Bales) Bauer. They were married June 29, 1963.

Born in Alburtis, he was a son of the late Woodrow W. and Lillian M. (Miller) Bauer. William was employed as a machinist for East Penn Manufacturing, Lyon Station, for eight years, retiring in 2004. Prior to that, he was employed as a machinist for Caloric Corporation, Topton, for 10 years, and Bally Case and Cooler, Bally, for 17 years. He was a member of Alburtis Rod and Gun Club and Nimrods, Alburtis.

He is survived by Wife, Daughter, Lori A. (Bauer) wife of Larry E. Meitzler, Alburtis; Son, David A. husband of Gina M. (Bonett) Bauer, Bechtelsville; Sister, Tammy S. Bauer, Emmaus; Brothers, Ronnie husband of Judy Bauer, Fleetwood, Terry J. widower of Bernice P. (Strunk) Bauer, Alburtis, Randy husband of Jennifer Bauer, Alburtis. He is also survived by 4 Grandchildren, Adrea N. Meitzler, Marissa J. Meitzler, Demery A. Bauer, Taylor E. Bauer, and a Step Grandson, Jordan C. Hammer.

Funeral Services are Thursday, March 10, 2011, at 10:30 AM from Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, 19530. Interment in Huff’s Church Union Cemetery, Alburtis. Friends may call Thursday, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home.
