William J Kern

William J. Kern, age 72, of 108 Haas Street, Topton PA, died Wednesday, January 30, 2002 in St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill PA. He was the Husband of Grace E. (Kemp) Kern. The couple celebrated their 54th Wedding Anniversary last September.

Born in Topton PA, he was the Son of the late Wayne and Viola (Rauchsahn) Kern. He was a Member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Topton. He was a Custodian at King's Department Store and Laneco Department Store, Kutztown PA, for 11 years before retiring in 1992. Prior to that he worked at the former General Seating and Sash Company in Topton for 29 years. He was a Member of the Topton Fish and Game Association.

He is survived by his Wife; Son, Larry G. Kern of Lugoff SC; Sisters, Joanne (Kern) Rauenzahn of Topton PA and Sandra Kern of Blandon PA; and 2 Granddaughters.

Private Graveside Services will be held at the convenience of the Family in Topton Union Cemetery, Topton. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home in Topton.
