William E Weigle

William E. Weigle, 49, formerly of Allentown, died Wednesday, August 20, 2008 in Laurel Center Genesis Elder Care, Tilden Township where he resided since August, 1988.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of George W. Weigle, Allentown and Ruth A. (Miller) Sosnowski, Allentown. He was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church of Eastern Salisbury Township, Allentown. He was employed from 1978 to 1987 by Lutron Electronics, Coopersburg, in their warehouse. He was a 1977 graduate of William Allen High School, Allentown, and a 2002 graduate of Reading Area Community College, Reading, with an Associates Degree in General Studies. At Laurel Center, he was past president and an active member of Project Reach, an organization that assisted persons with disabilities. He was also active on the resident council.

He is survived by Parents, Sons, Nathan A. husband of Kelly M. (Savacool) Bachman, Newark, DE, and David G. Weigle, Mertztown, and his Companion, Deann M. Berk; Sisters, Helene W. (Weigle) wife of Willis W. Ruth, Lenhartsville, Pamela C. (Weigle) wife of Timothy S. Salgado, Allentown. There is also a Grandson, Ryan James Bachman. In addition, there is Niece, Heather M. (Barr) wife of Erik Scherer, 2 Nephews, Michael S. and Douglas A. Salgado, 2 Great Nephews, Joshua E. and Braeden O. Scherer. He was predeceased by his Step Mother, Jean E. (Leinweaver) Weigle, in 2006 and his Step Father, Walter J. Sosnowski in 1985.

Memorial Services are Saturday, August 23, 2008, at 11:30 a.m. from Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, 1343 Long Lane Road, Kutztown. Private interment in New Bethel Zion Cemetery, Grimville. Friends may call Saturday, from 10:30 to 11:30 AM.
