Willard L Kunkel

Willard L. Kunkel, 86, of Topton, died Monday, March 2, 2015 in The Lutheran Home at Topton, where he was a resident since January. He was the widower of Betty M. (Dotterer) Kunkel, who died December 1, 2009 .

Born in Lynn Township, Lehigh County, he was a son of the late Lewis H. Kunkel and the late Daisy D. (Snyder) Kunkel. Mr. Kunkel was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Topton. He was employed as a road crew worker by The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation for many years. He also owned Kunkel Apartments in Topton. Willard enjoyed hunting; and was a member of several local fire companies and rod and gun clubs .

He is survived by Brother, Earlin Kunkel, New Tripoli; caregivers, Jack and Blair Dibler, Topton; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Betty, he was predeceased by his Daughter, Carol A. Kunkel on September 25, 2009 .

Graveside services will be private in Topton Union Cemetery .
