Whurrene D Gambler

Whurrene D. “Reenie” Gambler, 83, of Rockland Township, died Friday, January 6, 2012 in the residence of his granddaughter, Shawn L. Spatz, with whom he resided. He was the widower of Eleanor M. (Haring) Gambler who died October 22, 1991.

Born in Rockland Township, he was a son of the late Russell A. and Vera A. (Fenstermacher) Gambler. He was employed by East Penn Manufacturing Company, Lyon Station, for 29 years working in Marketing and Advertising retiring in 1992. Mr. Gambler was a member of Rockland Gun Club, Mertztown and a member of Pike Township Sportsmen’s Association, Oley.

He is survived by Sons, S. Grant Gambler, Topton and Jeramiah L. Gambler, Fleetwood. In addition, there are Grandchildren, Shawn L. (Quillman) wife of Kevin L. Spatz and Shannon L. (Quillman) Fink, Fleetwood. There are also 2 Great Grandchildren, Alexander W. Spatz and Sage L. Spatz. Mr. Gambler was predeceased by a Daughter, Wilhelmina L. (Gambler) Quillman who died June 5, 2000. He was also predeceased by Sisters, Gloria (Gambler) Miller and Dolores (Gambler) Alexander.

A public viewing will be held Monday, January 9, 2012, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 25 East Weis Street, Topton. Private graveside services will be held in New Jerusalem Union Cemetery, Rockland Township.
