Wayne W Kocher

Wayne W. Kocher, 81, of Longswamp Township, died Saturday, November 29, 2008 in Kutztown Manor. He was the wife of Erma I. (Kline) Kocher.

Born in Longswamp Township, he was a son of the late Floyd and Edna (Reichart) Kocher. He was a member of New Jerusalem United Church of Christ, Rockland Township. He was an assembler and repairman for 42 years at Caloric Corporation at its former Topton location, until his retirement in 1988.

He is survived by Wife, Daughters, Carole A. (Kocher) wife of Earl L. Morris, New Jerusalem, Gloria J. (Kocher) wife of Carl L. Zimmerman, Topton. There are 6 Sisters, Evelyn M. (Kocher) wife of Lynn Angstadt, Fleetwood, Jean M. (Kocher) widow of Elvin Kline, Alburtis, Annabelle J. (Kocher) wife of Wayne Weller, Mertztown, Corrine R. (Kocher) wife of Donald Haines, Whitehall, Barbara A. (Kocher) wife of James Karom, Alburits, and Gertrude E. (Kocher) wife of Kenneth Flicker, Maxatawny. There are also 3 Brothers, Larry D. husband of Rose (Trexler) Kocher, Ronald R. husband of Eleanor (Lee) Kocher Slatington, and Dennis C. husband of Nancy (Sterner) Kocher, Fleetwood. In addition there are 4 Grandchildren; 8 Great Grandchildren; and a Great-Great Granddaughter. He was predeceased by Brother, Paul Kocher.

Graveside Services are Thursday, December 4, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in Huffs Church Union Cemetery, Alburtis. Friends may call Thursday, 9:30 to 10:30 AM at Ludwick Funeral Home, 25 East Weis Street, Topton.

The family requests contributions be made to the memorial fund of New Jerusalem United Church of Christ, 33 Lyons Road, Fleetwood, PA 19522. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
