Wayne R Meck

Wayne R. Meck, age 76, of Longswamp Road, Lower Macungie Township, died Friday, September 5, 2003, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was married to Luetta J. (Raudenbush) Meck for 52 years last month.

Born in Alburtis, he was a son of the late Dewey and Edith (Gracely) Meck. A 1949 graduate of Allentown Business School, he was a clerk for the former General Seating and Sash Co., Topton, 1983-88. Previously, he was assistant vice president in charge of the Topton office of Bank of Pennsylvania, previously, National Bank of Topton, for 26 years before retiring in 1983. Prior to that, he was a clerk for Atlas Minerals & Chemical Co., Mertztown, 1954-57; Sure-Fit Co., Bethlehem, 1952-54, and for the the former Arbogast & Bastian, Allentown, 1949-52. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Mertztown, where he was a former vice president of the Church Council, former treasurer, Sunday school teacher, choir member, finance committee chairman and building committee member. An Army veteran of the Korean War, he was a member of Shoemaker-Bond Post 7071, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Mertztown, and Ray A. Master Post 217, American Legion, Topton. He was a member and past president of the Longswamp Lions Club, Mertztown, and a member of the Lehigh County Bankers Association, Allentown.

He is survived by Wife; Brothers, Carl F. of Longswamp Township, Ernest D. of Wescosville, Kermit of Harrisburg; Sister, Edna Gladzic of Shillington, Berks County.

Funeral services are 10:30 AM Wednesday, September 10, 2003, in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Mertztown. Friends and family may call 9:30 -10:30 AM Wednesday in the church.
