Wayne F Danner

Wayne F. Danner, age 89, 257 East Main Street, Kutztown, PA, died Wednesday, August 13, 2003, at the Lutheran Home at Topton, (Longswamp Twp) where he was a patient since June 2, 2002. He was the husband of Katie S. (Spangler) Danner, they were married 60 years this past April 24 ^th.

Born in Maxatawny Twp., PA., he was the son of the late Roy and the late Lydia (Hamsher) Danner. He was a custodian at Kutztown University for over 20 years retiring in 1978. Prior to that he was employed by his father, at the former Danner's Dairy, Kutztown. He also worked at the former Dick Brothers Company, Reading, PA, in the machine shop. He was a 1931 graduate of Kutztown High School. He also graduated from McCanns Business School, Reading, PA, with a degree in business in the mid 1930's. He also attended Kutztown University. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Kutztown. He was an Army veteran of WWII and a member and secretary of Ray A. Master, Post #217, American Legion, Topton where he served as secretary for 15 years during the 1940's and 1950's.

He is survived by Wife; Sister, Ruth (Danner) Zale, Downingtown, PA.

Funeral Services are Monday, August 18 at 2:30 PM from Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Interment in Hope Cemetery, Kutztown. Friends may call Monday, 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM.
