Wayne A Geiger

Wayne A. Geiger age 75, of 721 Woodside Avenue, Longswamp Township, Mertztown PA, died Sunday, April 8, 2000 at approximately 4:30 AM in his home. He was the husband of Marjorie P. (Rauenzahn) Geiger. The couple celebrated their 53rd Anniversary last July.

Born in Kutztown PA, he was the son of the late John D. and the late Gertrude (Meitzler) Geiger. He was a Compositor from 1950-1976 at the Kutztown Publishing Co., Kutztown, and from 1976 until his retirement in 1989 at Day-Timers, East Texas, PA. He was a member of Saint Paul’s United Church of Christ Church, N. Franklin & Arch Streets, Fleetwood, where he was a past president of the Church Consistory in 1992. He is a veteran of the United States Navy having served in WWII. He is a Past Worshipful Master and Instructor of Huguenot Lodge #377 F & AM, Kutztown. He was also a past President of the Kutztown Jaycees. He also founded the East Penn Valley Golf League.

He is survived by his Wife; Three Daughters, Dawn C. (Geiger), wife of Thomas LaVeroure of Fleetwood PA, Mary Ann (Geiger), wife of Alton C. Hamm, New Tripoli PA, and Robin L. (Geiger), wife of Jeffrey A. Miles, Allentown PA; A Son, Gary W. Geiger of Fleetwood PA; Two Brothers, Stanley R. Geiger of Kutztown PA and James Geiger of Hamburg PA; and 8 Grandchildren.

Services will be held Monday, April 10, 2000 at 7:30 PM at Saint Paul’s United Church of Christ Church, N Franklin & Arch Streets, Fleetwood. Interment will be Tuesday, 10:00 AM in Topton Union Cemetery, Topton. Friends may call Monday 6:00 - 7:30 PM at the Church. Masonic Services by Huguenot Lodge #377 F & AM, Kutztown at 7:15 PM. Arrangements by Ludwick Funeral Homess, Inc. of Topton PA.
