Walter M. Behm, 83, formerly of Alburtis and Topton, died Saturday, June 21, 2008 in Manor Care, Salisbury Township. He was the widower of Virginia F. (Stofflet) Behm who died March 29, 1996.
Born in District Township, Berks County he was a son of the late Walter and Ellie (Hilbert) Behm. He was a US Army veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a laborer at the former Bally Case and Cooler, Bally from 1960 until his retirement in 1990.
He is survived by Sons, Donald J. wife of Jane S. (Weller) Behm, Barto, Jeffrey W. Behm and Keith D. Behm, both of Pennsburg. There is a Step-Brother, Alvin Behm, Fleetwood and 2 Grandchildren, Mark Behm and Crystal Behm.
Funeral Services are Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. from the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Interment with Military Honors provided by Ray A. Master Post #217, American Legion, Honor Guard, Topton, in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Fleetwood. Friends may call Tuesday, 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM in the funeral home. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
