Walter E Maturi

Walter E. Maturi, 78, of Kutztown, and formerly of Brooklyn, NY died Wednesday, February 4, 2009 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading, where he had been a patient since January 29 ^th . He was the husband of Gloria M. (Lorenzetti) Maturi. They were married on April 23, 1955.

Born in Brooklyn, NY he was a son of the late Attilio and Esther (Lorenzetti) Maturi. He was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Kutztown. Mr. Maturi received a Bachelor of Science Degree in accounting from St. John’s University, Brooklyn. He retired after 30 years as a self employed cutlery grinder for Attilio Maturi and Son, Brooklyn. From 1974 to 1984 he was also owner and operator of Victor International Travel Agency, Brooklyn. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the American Legion, Post #1505, Somers, NY.

He is survived by his Wife.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, February 7, 2009 at 10:00 AM in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 14833 Kutztown Road, Kutztown. Inurnment with Military Honors provided by the Ray A. Master, Post #217, American Legion, Topton, in Hope Cemetery, Kutztown. There are no calling hours.

The family requests contributions to the American Heart Association, West Lawn Professional Plaza, Building A., Suite 10, 25 Stevens Avenue, West Lawn, PA 19609. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
