Virginia Malewicz

Virginia Malewicz, age 85, formerly of Topton, died Saturday, August 16, 2003, in York Terrace, Pottsville, Schuylkill County. She was the wife of the late Walter Malewicz.

Born in Taunton, Mass., she was a daughter of the late Antone and Maria (Lane) DeMoura. She was a sewing machine operator for 10 years for the former Marcus Manufacturing, Topton, and an assembler for two years for Caloric Corp., formerly of Topton, before retiring in 1972. She was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Kutztown.

She is survived by Son, Walter III of Alburtis; Daughter, Janice M. Haring of Carlsbad, Calif.; Sister, Catherine Ewald of North Attleboro, Mass.; 2 Grandsons, 2 Great Granddaughters.

Mass of Christian Burial services are 9:30 AM Wednesday, August 20, 2003, St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Kutztown. Friends may call 8:30-9:30 AM Wednesday in the church. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
