Virginia L Federoff

Virginia L. Federoff, 95, formerly of Swarthmore, Delaware County, and Boyertown died Wednesday, April 18, 2007 in the Lutheran Home at Topton where she had been a resident since 1998. She was the wife of the late Ernest Federoff who died on August 7, 1998.

Born in Grand Rapid, MI she was the daughter of the late Hugh J. and Frances N. (Green) Lumsden. She was a 1933 graduate of the former Philadelphia College of the Arts. She was employed as a secretary for 11 years at the former Luken, Savage and Washburn, Insurance Brokers, and was a secretary and account manager from 1967 until retiring in 1975 for Alexander and Alexander, both of Philadelphia. She was a past president of the Home and School Association, Ridley School District, during the 1950’s; and for 25 years she served in many capacities for the Girl Scouts of Delaware County.

She is survived by Daughters, Karen F. wife of David A. Bivans, New Tripoli, PA, Gretchen Neill, Portsmouth, VA; Son, John E. husband of Judy (Reese) Federoff, Avondale, PA; Grandchildren, Matthew A. Bivans, Nathan D. Bivans, Kevin Neill, Phillip Neill, Jonathan Federoff, Joshua Federoff, Jillian Federoff; Great Grandson, Gabrial Bivans. She was predeceased by Grandson, Peter A. Bivans in 2003.

Memorial Services are Saturday, April 28, 2007 at 11:00 AM in Reinert Hall, The Lutheran Home at Topton, One South Home Avenue, Topton.
