Virginia A. Geist, 72, Sinnamahoning, PA, formerly of Topton, PA and Lady Lake, FL died Monday, April 21, 2008 in St. Mary’s Hospital, St. Mary’s, PA. She was the wife of Walter A. Geist. They were married on November 17, 1951.

Born in Longswamp Township, Berks County, PA she was a daughter of the late Irvin and Anna (Eisenhard) Derr. She was an assembler at the Caloric Corporation, formerly of Topton, for 23 years retiring in 1991.

She is survived by Husband, Sons, Jeffrey L. husband of Melissa (Borrell) Geist, Sinnamahoning, PA, Gregory A. husband of Eileen B. (Phillips) Geist, Lawrenceville, PA, Scott W. Geist, Mertztown, PA; Daughter, Shelly J. wife of Peter Danni, Allentown, PA; Sister, Edna M. Kaufman, Kutztown, PA, Brother, Earl L. Derr companion of Gladys Kline, Mertztown, PA; 13 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. She was predeceased by Son, Phil L. Geist husband of Susan M. (Phillips) Geist, Westfield, PA.

Services are private. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
