Virginia A Conrad

Virginia A. Conrad, 88, of Kutztown, died Sunday, September 5, 2010, in her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Russell E. Conrad, who died August 3, 2008.

Born in Latrobe, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anne (Boyle) Frederick. She is a veteran of the United State Navy, having served in World War II as a Pharmacist Mate. She was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed the company of her family and friends. Mrs. Conrad was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Kutztown.

She is survived by Daughters, Anne L. (Conrad) wife of Barry L. Madenford, Fleetwood, Teresa D. (Conrad) wife of Glenn N. Stitzel, Quakertown; Sons, Patrick J., husband of Holly A. (Betz) Conrad, Kutztown, and Michael F. husband of Patricia (Michalowski) Conrad, Hamilton, OH; Sister, Joanne (Frederick) widow of Joseph Valenti, Eureka, CA; Brother, Michael Frederick, AK. She is also survived by Grandchildren, Jodi A. (Madenford) wife of Barry Pfleuger, Amy L. (Madenford) wife of Federico Davi, Katie J. (Madenford) wife of Derek Reitenour, Corey J. and Casey M. Stitze;, Michael J., Patrick S., Lindsay A. and Timothy C. Conrad; Virginia, Olivia and Savannah Conrad; Great Grandchildren, Rachel M. and Vicenzo Davi, Cassidy A. and Chloe M. Pfleuger; Gracie A. Reitnouer.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 10:00 AM from Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 14833 Kutztown Road, Kutztown. Interment in Hope Cemetery, Kutztown. Friends may call Thursday morning, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM in the church.

The family requests contributions be made to St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 14833 Kutztown Road, Kutztown, PA 19530, or Berks Visiting Nurse Association Hospice, 1170 Berkshire Blvd., Wyomissing, PA 19610. The family would like to express a special thank you to Care For People, Kutztown, for their extended care and compassion they provided to Virginia.
