Vernon F Bailey

Vernon F. Bailey, 86, of Kutztown, died Sunday, December 19, 2010 in Kutztown Manor Nursing Home where he was a resident since July 8, 2010. He was the husband of Thelma H. (Bailey) Bailey. They were married 62 years this past March.

Born in Greenwich Township, he was a son of the late Thomas H. and Minnie A. (Wisser) Bailey. He was a member of Saint John’s Lutheran Church, Kutztown. He was employed as a carpenter at Hamburg Center, Hamburg for 17 years until his retirement in 1986. He was a graduate of Kutztown Area High School, Kutztown. He was a member of Kutztown Area Historical Society, Brothers of the Brush and Kutztown Fire Company.

He is survived by Wife, Daughter, Bonnie L. (Bailey) widow of William A. Yurvati, Kutztown; Sons, Thomas V. Bailey and Daniel A. husband of Kathy L. (Kline) Bailey, both of Kutztown. Other survivors include a Sister, Marion E. (Bailey) Schappell, Kutztown and Granddaughters, Erica S. Yurvati, Sarah D. Bailey and Step Grandchildren, Amy E. and Carrie P. Broussard. Mr. Bailey was predeceased by a Sister, Elaine K. (Bailey) Balthaser and Brother, Harlan T. Bailey.

Funeral Services are Thursday, December 23, 2010, 10:30 AM from Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, 19530. Interment in Hope Cemetery, Kutztown. Friends may call Thursday, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home.
