Verna M Siegfried

Verna M. Siegfried, 87, formerly of S. Laurel Street, Kutztown, died Monday, October 22, 2007 in the Lutheran Home at Topton where she had been a resident since February 22, 2007. She was the wife of the late Lester G. Siegfried who died on July 12, 1969.

Born in Emmaus, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert C. Zettlemoyer and the late Daisy (Mest) Zettlemoyer Schmoyer. She was a laborer in the cable department at East Penn Manufacturing, Lyon Station, for 17 years retiring in 1985. She was a life member of both the Ladies Auxiliary of the Ray A. Master, Post #217, American Legion, Topton, and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Kutztown Fire Company, Kutztown. She was a member of the UCC Congregation of Zion’s Union Church, Maxatawny.

She is survived by Daughter, Jessie J. (Siegfried) wife of Walter J. Hess, Kutztown; Sisters, Fern G. (Zettlemoyer) Mulgrew, Burbank, CA, Joyce L. (Zettlemoyer) Sivak, Macungie; Brothers, Calvin R. Zettlemoyer, Trexlertown, Carl L. Zettlemoyer, Shinglehouse, PA, Ronald C. Zettlemoyer, Croyden, PA; Step Grandchildren, Christopher J. Hess, Michael J. Hess, Jennifer N. Hess; Step Great Granddaughter, Maria G. Hess.

Funeral Services are Thursday, October 25, 2007 at 10:30 AM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Interment in Zion Maxatawny Union Cemetery, Maxatawny. Friends may call Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.
