Verna I Hartranft

Verna I. Hartranft, 89, of Kutztown, died Wednesday, May 5, 2010 in her residence. She was the wife of the late Clifford A. Hartranft who died on March 25, 1996.

Born in Kutztown, she was a daughter of the late Daniel S. and Ida E. (Sunday) Adam. She was a member of Zion Moselem Lutheran Church, Kutztown. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by Sons, Dr. Chester D. widower of Joan D. (Telliho) Hartranft, Robert N. husband of Janice (Meck) Hartranft and James P. Hartranft, all of Kutztown; Sister, Laila A. (Adam) widow of Paul Wessner, Fleetwood; Grandchildren, Cynthia (Hartranft) wife of Wayne Luckenbill, Timothy Hartranft, Cathy (Hartranft) wife of Guy Helson, Dru husband of Elizabeth (Blakeney) Hartranft and Rebecca Hartranft companion of Corwin Smith; Great Grandchildren, Sara, Daniel, Heidi and Ruby. She was predeceased by Sisters, Edna (Adam) Heffner, Pearl (Adam) Vanino, Grace (Adam) Tranovich, Ora (Adam) Kohler, Fern (Adam) Greenawalt, Mabel (Adam) Serfass, Ellen (Adam) Moatz; and Brothers, Curtis, Luther, Lloyd, Calvin and Elton Adam and Herbert Adams.

Funeral Services are Monday, May 10, 2010 at 10:30 AM in Zion Moselem Lutheran Church, 340 Moselem Church Road, Kutztown. Interment in Zion Moselem Church Cemetery, Kutztown. Friends may call Sunday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 PM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, and Monday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the church.
