Verna I Dey

Verna I. Dey, age 82, of 95 Five Points Road, Mertztown PA, died Friday, June 22, 2001 in the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center, Pottstown PA. She was the Widow of the late Charles O. Dey who died in 1984.

Born in Maxatawny Twp., Berks County PA, she was the Daughter of the late Charles and Andora (Kutz) Miller. She was last employed for many years at the former Boyertown Body Works, Boyertown working as a General Laborer, retiring in 1980. Prior to that she worked as an Inker at the former Saucony Shoe Company, Kutztown. Before that she worked at the former Kutztown Wallet Factory. She was a Member of the New Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Fleetwood PA. She was also a Member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Lyons Fire Company, No.1.

She is survived by her Daughters, Lorraine J. (Dey) Sterner of Mertztown PA, Patricia A. (Dey) Hess of Starrucca PA and Doreen J. (Dey) Harper of Mertztown PA; Sons, Carl A. Dey of Barto PA and Larry L. Dey, Rockland Twp of Fleetwood PA; Brother, Edwin J. Miller, of Fleetwood PA; Sister, Elizabeth (Miller) Clemmer of Hamburg PA; 10 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 26, 2001 at 10:30 AM from Ludwick Funeral Homes, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Friends may call Tuesday 9:30 AM until the time of services. Interment in Hope Cemetery, Dryville PA.
