Verna C Smith

Verna C. Smith, 97, formerly of College Blvd. Kutztown, died Saturday, December 17, 2005, in Kutztown Manor where she resided since October 28, 2002. She was the wife of late Roy A. Smith who died September 7, 1960.

Born in Greenwich Township, Berks County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Elanius A. and Addie (Gehringer) Grim Schlenker. She was the head cook at Greenwich Elementary School (Kutztown Area School District) during the 1950’s.

She is survived by Son, LeRoy K. Smith, Kutztown; 2 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren, 4 Great Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Services are Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at 10:30 AM from the Ludwick Funeral Home 333 Greenwich Street Kutztown. Interment in Ziegel’s Church Union Cemetery, Breinigsville. Friends may call Wednesday 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM.

The family requests contributions be made to Ziegel’s Lutheran Church, 9990 Ziegel’s Church Road, Breinigsville, PA 18031. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
