Verdilla C Solt

Verdilla C. Wetzel Solt, 89, formerly of Topton, PA, died Tuesday, April 19, 2005, in Kutztown Manor, 120 Trexler Avenue, Kutztown, where she had been a resident since March 10, 2005. She was the wife of the late Earl D. Solt who died on January 3, 1996 and the late Milton O. Wetzel who died in November 8, 1986.

Born in Rockland Township, Berks County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Wilson and the late Bertha (Reinert) Gamler. She was a laborer at the former Long Valley Rug Company, Mertztown, for 20 years; and, also at the Allen Organ Company, Macungie, for 20 years retiring in 1978. She was a member and past president of the VFW Auxiliary Post #7071, Mertztown. She was a member of the Lutheran Congregation of Huff’s Union Church, Alburtis.

She is survived by Daughter, Helen C. (Greis) widow of Ralph S. Bower, Topton; Grandson, Dennis R. Bower, Mertztown; Great Grandson, David R. Bower, Mertztown; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son Ronald Gamler who died in 1936.

Funeral Services are Friday, April 22, 2005 at 1:00 PM from the Ludwick Funeral Home, 25 E. Weis Street, Topton. Interment in Huff’s Church Union Cemetery, Alburtis. Friends may call Friday from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM.

The family requests contributions to Huff’s Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 540 Conrad Road, Alburtis, 18011. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
