Tyrone A Schappell

Tyrone A. Schappell, 74, a resident of Kutztown Manor, Inc., and formerly of Topton, died peacefully on Friday, January 15, 2016.

Born in Kutztown, he was a son of the late Earl H. Schappell, who died June 16, 2015 and the late Glendowyr L. (Smith) Schappell, who died on January 9, 2012. Mr. Schappell was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Topton, and a 1960 graduate of Brandywine Heights High School. He also attended McCann School of Business and Technology. Tyrone loved all kinds of music, especially oldies and 50's music. He also enjoyed politics and was an avid baseball and Philadelphia Phillies fan.

He is survived by Sisters, Cynthia D. (Schappell), wife of Charles Bennett, Jacksonville, FL, and Karen E. (Schappell), widow of Gary R. Breshers, Topton and Nephew, Lance E. Plessl, Topton.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at 11:00 AM in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 25 East Weis Street, Topton, with Reverend Arthur L. Hahn officiating. Interment will follow in Topton Union Cemetery, Topton. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home.
