Thomas P. Ferry, Sr., 83, of Alburtis, died Friday, December 28, 2012 in Lehigh Center, Macungie. He was the widower of Helen C. (Keeney) Ferry, who died October 19, 2011.
Born in Alburtis, he was a son of the late Joseph M., and Anne K. (Hallinan) Ferry. He was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church, Bally. Thomas was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He worked as a union supervisor with Local 600 Carpenters Union, Bethlehem, for 40 years. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Catholic War Vets, Mertztown Rod & Gun Club and the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by Sons, Thomas P. Ferry, Jr., Lehigh Valley, John G. Ferry, Laury’s Station, and James P., husband of Debbie L. (Bertrum) Ferry, Breinigsville; Grandchildren, Hethre A. Faust, John J. Ferry, Jeffrey W. Ferry, Tara E. Ferry, Kaitlin M. Ferry, Patrick J. Ferry, Kristie L. Cupples, John A. Cupples, Stacee L. Cupples; and Great Grandchildren, twins Anthony and Alex Ferry, and Hailey M. Cupples. He was pre-deceased by siblings Joseph M. Ferry, Jr., Emma (Ferry) Griffin and Catherine (Ferry) Gehringer.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, December 31, 2012, at 9:00 AM in the Most Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church, 610 Pine Street, Bally. Interment with military honors provided by Ray A. Master Post 217, American Legion Honor Guard, Topton, will follow in Most Blessed Sacrament Cemetery, Bally. Friends may call Monday morning from 8:30 to 9:00 AM in the church.
The family requests contributions be made to Alzheimers Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Avenue, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
