Thomas M Burkhart

Thomas M. Burkhart, age 55, of 179 Long Dam Road, Kutztown, died Wednesday, August 13, 2003, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, after being involved in an accident. He was married to Anita E. (Thost) Burkhart for 30 years in June.

Born in West Reading, he was a son of Dorothy M. (Delp) Burkhart of Bern Township and the late LeRoy P. Burkhart. He was a truck driver for Shiffer and Sons, Allentown, for the past 10 years. Previously, he was a machine operator for the former Kawecki-Berylco, Temple, Pa., for more than 10 years. He was a member of Mount Zion Lutheran Church, Krumsville. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.

He is survived by Wife; Mother; Son, Kurt A. at home; Daughters, Melissa A. of Fort Worth, Texas, Elizabeth E. at home; Brothers, Donald J. of Wyomissing, Berks County, David P. of Warner Robins, Ga., Joseph D. of Blandon; Sisters, Mary L. Weller of Reading, Patricia M. Olson of Durand, Wis.

Services are 7:30 PM Monday, August 18, 2003, Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich St., Kutztown. Friends may call 6:00 - 7:30 PM Monday. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
