Thomas G. Hottenstein

August 6, 1957 — August 27, 2021

Thomas G. Hottenstein, 64, of Kutztown, died suddenly Friday, August 27, 2021, in his home.  He was the husband of Judy S. (Fick) Hottenstein.  They were married May 23, 1981.  Born in Allentown, he was a son of Betty J. (Zettlemoyer) Hottenstein, Bowers, and the late George T. Hottenstein.  Thomas was a member of Saint John's Lutheran Church, Kutztown.

Thomas was a graduate of Fleetwood Area High School, Class of 1975.  He then began a 40 year career in the block industry, working at Fleetwood Building Block, Fleetwood, now, Veritas Medical Solutions, Inc., last working Thursday.

Tom enjoyed golfing and old cars.  He also enjoyed attending car shows and in his younger days enjoyed bowling and hunting.  Family was most important to Tom, especially spending time with his grandson, Cohen.

In addition to his wife of 40 years, Judy, and Mother; Tom is survived by his son Cale T. Hottenstein, companion of Jamie L. Bricker, Fleetwood; grandson, Cohen T. Hottenstein. Other survivors include a sister, Cynthia P. (Hottenstein), widow of Richard W. Schwab, companion of Daniel L. Hinnershitz, Blandon.

A public viewing for Tom will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2021, from 5:30 -7:30 p.m. in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, followed by a funeral service at 7:30 p.m., officiated by The Reverend Mary Ann Hamm, Pastor of Saint John's Lutheran Church, Kutztown.  Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

The family request contributions be made in Tom's memory to the "Thomas G. Hottenstein Memorial Fund" c/o Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., PO Box 292, Kutztown, PA 19530-0292, to benefit Cohen T. Hottenstein's future college educational needs, Kutztown Volunteer Fire Company; and Saint John's Lutheran Church, Kutztown.
