Mr. Terry K. Kemp

July 19, 1954 — April 5, 2024

Terry K. Kemp, 69, of District Township, passed away suddenly on Friday, April 5, 2024 at his residence. He was the loving husband of Wanda L. (Hertzog) Kemp, whom he married on September 8, 1979.

Born in Allentown, Terry was the son of the late Harold R. “Blackie” Kemp and Elaine O. (Hilbert) Kemp, and was a 1972 graduate of Brandywine Heights High School, Topton. He was employed as a millwright at Doehler-Jarvis in Pottstown for nearly 20 years and then as a truck driver for Martin Stone Quarries, Inc., Bechtelsville for nearly 20 years until his retirement in 2021.

Terry was a member of Nimrod Fish and Wildlife Association, Alburtis, and enjoyed his many “toys.” He could be found playing around on his four-wheelers and snow mobiles, which brought great joy to his life. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR and was an animal lover. Although Terry and Wanda did not have any children of their own, their fur babies were like children to them. He will be missed by Koko, and will be reunited with Tasha, Sunshine and Kosmo.

Along with his wife of 45 years, Wanda, Terry is survived by his sister, Karen M. (Kemp), wife of David A. Miller, Alburtis; three brothers: Harold C., husband of JoAnn (Shaner) Kemp, Oley; Glenn E., husband of MaryAnn Wilmot Kemp, Tampa, FL; and Jesse H. Kemp, Alburtis. He will also be sorely missed by many brothers and sisters-in-laws; many nieces and nephews and their families, and countless friends who will be forever grateful for knowing him.

As per Terry’s specific wishes, there will be no services.

In honor of Terry's love for animals, his family kindly requests contributions be made in him memory to The Sanctuary at Haafsville, P.O. Box 921, Fogelsville, PA 18051 www.thesanctuarypa.org/donate/ OR Safety Net Sanctuary, 187 Houck Road, Fleetwood, PA  19522 www.safetynetsanctuary.com/support-us .
