Terry A Kercher

Terry A. Kercher, 67, of Alburtis, died Friday, September 11, 2009 in his residence. He was the husband of Anna Mae (DeLong) Kercher. They were married September 30, 1961.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Vernon L. and Betty (Steffy) Kercher. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Mertztown. He was a 1961 graduate of Brandywine Heights High School. He was an assembler for Mack Trucks, Inc., Allentown and Macungie for 11 years until his retirement in 1977.

He is survived by Wife, Daughter, Judy E. wife of Glenn S. Shannon, Alburtis; Sons, Glenn C. husband of Tammy K. (Greiss) Kercher, Kutztown, Joel D. husband of Mandi D. (Hower) Kercher, Schnecksville. He is also survived by Sisters, Carol “Susie” (Kercher) wife of Franklin Frantz, Allentown, Cindy (Kercher) wife of Gregory Chernay, Coopersburg, and a Brother, Chris C. Kercher, Coopersburg. In addition, he is survived by Grandchildren, Christopher B. husband of Elissa (Biggs) Shannon, Jennifer B. (Shannon) wife of Arthur George, III, Amanda S. (Kercher) wife of Jeffrey Zimmerman, Amy M. Kercher fiancé of Stanton Traylor, Emily A. Kercher, Katie B. Kercher, and Alexis M. Kercher. There are also 2 Great Grandchildren, Aiden C. Shannon and Elizabeth F. Zimmerman.

Funeral Services are Wednesday, September 16, 2009, at 7:30 PM in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 50 Luther Drive, Mertztown. Interment is Thursday, September 17, 2009 at 10:00 AM in Longswamp Union Cemetery, Mertztown. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 PM in the church.
