Terrence M Smith

Terrence M. Smith, 67, of Highland Drive, Fleetwood, died Wednesday, July 16, in his residence. He was the loving husband of Trudy (Helms) Smith. They were married on October 9, 1965.

Born in Canton, Ohio he was a son of the late Wallace H. and Mary Catherine (Knittle) Smith. He was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church. Mr. Smith received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Ceramic Engineering from Georgia Tech, Atlanta, in 1964. He was the president of Firelock Data Protection Systems, Fleetwood, from 1986 until the present. Terry will be remembered for his sense of humor and his day to day devotion to his loving and true spouse Trudy, who cared for him until the very end in their home. He died peacefully, surrounded by his wife and children. He enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and activities. An avid golfer, he was a member of the Moselem Springs Golf Club, Fleetwood and the former Berkleigh Country Club, Kutztown.

A loving husband and father he is survived by wife Trudy; Daughters, Lisa C. (Smith) wife of Perry D. Landis, Kutztown, Kristi A. (Smith) wife of Michael D. Rotsel, Exeter, RI; Son, Todd M. husband of Dana M. (Radman) Smith, Macungie; Sisters, Donna (Smith) wife of Timothy Dannemiller, Massillon, OH, Gayle (Smith) Carloss, Houston, TX; Brothers, Philip husband of Susan (Chavez) Smith, Georgetown, TX, Hugh W. husband of Joyce (Danford) Smith, Kutztown, Gary J. husband of Barbara (Moots) Smith, Canton, OH; Grandchildren, Ashley Marie Landis and Tucker John Landis. He was predeceased by a Sister, Diane (Smith) VanSchuyver and Brother Wallace Smith.

Mass of Christian Burial is Saturday, July 19, 2008 at 10:30 AM in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 14833 Kutztown Road, Kutztown. Interment in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Fleetwood. Friends may call Saturday from 9:00 to 10:30 AM in the church.
