Tammie J. Dech

Tammie J. (Wenrich) Dech, 63, of Longswamp Township, died Wednesday, May 18, 2022, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.  She was the wife of Alan S. Dech, Sr., whom she married August 8, 1991.  Born in West Reading, Tammie was a daughter of the late William W. Wenrich, Jr. and Ruth A. (Snyder) Wenrich.  Tammie was lovingly raised by her aunt and uncle, the late Joseph and Francis E. Lowe.

Tammie was a graduate of Twin Valley High School.  She was employed at Knoll Furniture, East Greenville, in the Finishing Department.

In her younger years, Tammie enjoyed hunting, traveling to the mountains, the beach, camping, fishing, and crabbing.  Then as she got older, reading and word searches, the joy of grandchildren and watching her favorite television programs brought a smile to Tammie's face.

In addition to her husband of 30 years, Alan, Tammie is survived by her daughter, Amie M. (Nester), wife of Jason R. Bates, Exeter Township; twin step children, Alan S. Dech, Jr., Allentown; and Amy L. Dech, Allentown.  Other survivors include a sister, Candice L. (Wenrich), wife of Larry Noll, Exeter Township; brothers:  Kenneth W. Wenrich, York; Randall L. Wenrich, Myerstown; Tammie's twin brother, Timmie D. Wenrich, Bernville; and Jodie C. Wenrich, Northern Cambria.  There are eight grandchildren:  Destiny Erdman; Devon S. Bates; Dominick Dech; Savana N. Bates; Xaviar Dominguez; Connor W. Bates; Ezekiel Dominguez; and Jordan Dominguez. Tammie is also survived by her cousin, Kathy Fillman companion of Cathy Nelson, Coatesville.  In addition to her parents, and aunt and uncle, Tammie was predeceased by a sister Sandra N. (Wenrich) Keefer and a brother, Steven L. Wenrich. Tammie will be missed by her dogs Spikey and Gunner.  She may see Schmitty and Rondo near the Rainbow Bridge.

Services for Tammie will be private at the convenience of the family.
