Suzanne F Reed

Suzanne F. (Baer) Reed, 74, of Lyon Station, died Sunday, November 7, 2010, in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Dalton S. Reed. They were married February 23, 1957.

Born in Fleetwood, she was a daughter of the late J. Walter and Ruth (Schaeffer) Baer. She was a 1954 graduate of Fleetwood Area High School. Suzanne was an elected member of the Lyons Borough Council since 1974. She was a past president and the first female member of the Council. She was an active volunteer with the Lyons Fiddle Fest and the Lyons Park Committee. She was part owner/operator of the former Village Flower Shop, Lyon Station. She also worked at numerous area flower shops for a total of 55 years.

She is survived by Husband, Son, Michael S. Reed, Sykesville, MD; Daughters, Sandra L. (Reed) wife of Clark L. Frederick, Fleetwood, Anne M. (Reed) wife of William C. Eben, Kutztown. Other survivors include Sisters, Jean (Baer) Fegely, Blandon and Ruthann (Baer) Willis, St. Augustine, FL; and a Brother, Charles Baer, Fleetwood; Grandchildren, Michael J. and Jacob S. Reed, Adam J. Frederick and Taylor A. and Joseph C. Eben. She was predeceased by a Sister, Lillian (Baer) Capopola.

Memorial Services are Friday, November 12, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Internment is private at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Friday, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
