Steven M. Root

Steven M. Root, 30 of Maxatawny Township, died unexpectedly on Thursday, September 8, 2022.  He was the fiance of Melinda E. Evans.  Born in West Reading, Steven was a son of Jeffrey C. Root, Reading and Bonnie J. (Kaufman), wife of Kenneth W. Price, Macungie.

Steven was a graduate of Emmaus High School, Class of 2010.  He was a self taught  classic auto restoration expert employed by Queens Auto Body, Macungie, since 2012.

Steve enjoyed music, cars, and classic car restoration however, following the birth of his son, Nolan, Steven focused his energies on sharing his passions with his son.  Steven's greatest joy was fulfilled in being a Dad.  He also enjoyed spending time with his extended family.

In addition to his fiance Melinda, Mother and Step Father; and Father, Steven is survived by his 15 month old son, Nolan.  Steven is also survived by his fiance's parents, Nick J., husband of Caroline E. (Rennie) Evans, Topton; Melinda's brother, Nicholas J. Evans, Norristown; and a large extended family.

There will be a public visitation on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. at Ludwick Funeral Homes and Cremation Care, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, followed by a private Memorial Service, officiated by The Reverend Dr. Paul W. Knappenberger.  Inurnment will be private at the convenience of the family.
