Stephen A. Haas

Stephen A. Haas, 68, was called home to our Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 25, 2026, after a courageous 2 year battle with cancer. Originally from Carlisle, PA, with a recent move to Macungie, Berks County. Stephen is survived by his caring wife, Holly Walter; his daughter, Courtney Butz; and son-in-law, Daniel Butz. Other survivors include his nephew Danny Haas, and his wife, Carolyn and their children Caleb and Zoey; and his sister-in-law, Lecia Shultz.

Born in Portsmouth, VA, He was predeceased in death by his mother, Joan (Boykin) Haas.

Stephen was a truck driver for 46 years for Andersen Logistics. His CB handle was Lone Wolf. He loved his time on the road. He had so many stories from his stops and some of the interesting places he had to deliver to.

Steven was an avid outdoors man. He enjoyed hunting and made a kill almost every year and he also enjoyed fishing. Courtney and him loved to hunt and fish together. He also shared that passion with his son-in-law and nephew and with lots of stories. Stephen also enjoyed cutting wood. He loved catching butterflies and helped Courtney to identify them.

Anyone that knows Stephen knows how much he loved the beach ! Any beach but his favorites were OCMD, CA and Hawaii.
