Mrs. Shirley M. Delcamp

Shirley M. (Kern) Delcamp, 86, of Kutztown, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 7, 2023 in her residence. She was the widow of Walter C. Delcamp, who died on June 10, 2022. They were happily married for 64 years prior to his passing.

Born in Kutztown, Shirley was a daughter of the late Ernest A. and Irene M. (Herman) Kern. Mrs. Delcamp was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Kutztown. She was employed by the former Kutztown Wallet Factory, but for most of her life was a Homemaker, raising her children and taking care of her family. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, watching NASCAR and watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow.

Shirley is survived by her two children, Lori A. (Delcamp), widow of Gary L. Reidenhour, Kutztown, and Timothy W., husband of Lyn (Yoder) Delcamp, Mohrsville; sister, Diane R. (Kern) Walbert, Kutztown; four grandchildren, Brandon Reidenhour, companion of Sue Mitchell, Brandi (Reidenhour) Long, wife of Chad Long, Eric Delcamp and Nathan Delcamp; three great-grandchildren, Katelyn and Miranda Reidenhour and Aubrey Long; and many nieces and nephews and extended family members.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was predeceased by her four siblings, Goldie M. (Kern) Meitzler, Clayton Kern, Larry J. Kern, and Gerald P. "Jerry" Kern.

Shirley's desire was for her funeral service and burial to be held privately.
