Shirley Leinbach

Shirley M. (Arndt) Leinbach, 92, formerly of Kutztown, died peacefully, Wednesday, July 2, 2025, in the Buehrle Center, on the campus of The Lutheran Home at Topton, Longswamp Township. She was the widow of Jay S. Leinbach, who died August 2, 2013. Born in Maxatawny Township, Shirley was a daughter of the late James A. and Rachael C. (Mengel) Arndt. She was a member of Saint Paul's United Church of Christ, Kutztown, where she was a member of its women's guild, Christmas mice workshop, and served as its financial secretary for 25 years.

Shirley enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family. She was a dedicated member of the former Kutztown Lioness Club, Kutztown, for many years.

Shirley is survived by her son, Steven J., husband of Sherry B. (Jenne) Leinbach, Mertztown; grandsons: David J. Leinbach, husband of Samantha P. Rosado, Fort Collins, CO; and Brandon L. Leinbach, Mountville, Lancaster County. In addition to her parents and husband, Jay, Shirley was predeceased by a son, Keith J. Leinbach, who died July 19, 2023.

A Memorial Service to honor and celebrate Shirley's life will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. in Saint Paul's United Church of Christ, 47 South Whiteoak Street, Kutztown, with The Reverend Sara Hertzog, officiating. Inurnment in Hope Cemetery, Kutztown. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m in the church.
