Shirley D Dreibelbis

Shirley D. Dreibelbis, 75, of Albany Township, died Monday, October 3, 2011 in her residence. She was the widow of Charles H. Dreibelbis, Jr., who died November, 1998.

Born in Kutztown, she was a daughter of the late Charles F. and Elsie (Miller) Stern. She was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Kutztown, where she was a Sunday school teacher for 18 years, and was also a member of Mt. Zion Senior Friends. Shirley was employed as a cafeteria worker for the former M.W. Wood, Wescosville, working in the South Dining Hall at Kutztown University, retiring in 1998. Prior to that, she was employed by the former wallet factory, Wenton Shoe Co., and Deisher Knitting Mill, all of Kutztown, Gillerdone Embroidery, Virginville, and Foose Cookie Cutters, Fleetwood. She was a member of the Kempton Rod and Gun Club.

She is survived by Daughter, Joanne S. (Dreibelbis) wife of Wilson L. Dietrich, Kempton; Sisters Joan B. (Stern) wife of Terry Acker, Fleetwood, Barbara J. (Stern) wife of John E. Dietrich, Sr., Kempton; Half Sister, Eva (Stern) widow of Charles Reinert, Kutztown; Brothers, Charles husband of Irene (Reinert) Stern, Fleetwood, Daniel husband of Linda (Phillips) Stern, Fleetwood, Barry husband of Shereda (Gilbert) Stern, Reading; Half Sister in Law, Catherine (Dietrich) widow of half brother, Edgar Stern, Hamburg; Grandson, Richard W. Dietrich. She was predeceased by a Son, Ronald Charles Dreibelbis in 1957, Half Sisters, Edith (Stern) Bower, Florence (Stern) Shearer, and Elda Stern.

Funeral Services are Friday, October 7, 2011 at 11:00 AM from the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, 19530. Interment in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Fleetwood. Friends may call Thursday evening from 6:30 to 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
