Shirley C Dreibelbis

Shirley C. (Christman) Dreibelbis, 79, of Longswamp Township, died Sunday, November 2, 2014 at Saint Joseph Medical Center, Bern Township. She was the widow of Lee M. Dreibelbis who died in 1989.

Born in Kutztown, she was a daughter of the late Raymond J. and Anna A. (Mertz) Christman. Mrs. Dreibelbis was a member of Christ (Mertz) Lutheran Church, Dryville. She was employed as a custodian by Kutztown University, Kutztown, for 13 years, retiring in 2003. Prior to that, she worked as a laborer at Kraft Foods, Fogelsville, for 10 years; and as a sewing machine operator at the former Keith Knitting Mills, Mertztown for 10 years .

She is survived by Sons, Randy L. Dreibelbis, companion of Corine F. (Reichard) Bauman, Fleetwood, Ricky A., husband of Cathy A. (Oldt) Dreibelbis, Alburtis; Sisters, Virginia (Christman) Hartline, Bowers; Brothers, Leroy Christman and David Christman, both of Kutztown; 2 Grandchildren, Randy L., II, husband of Melanie A. (Hillegas) Dreibelbis and Amy M. Dreibelbis, companion of Kenny J. Mellor. She was predeceased by Sisters, Betty Christman and Beatrice (Christman) Kohler; and a Brother, Robert Christman.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 7, 2014 at 10:30 AM in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, with Reverenced Cheryl F. Meinschein officiating. Interment will follow in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Fleetwood. Relatives and friends may call Friday morning from 9:00 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home .
