Mrs. Shirley A. Mittl

Shirley A. (Scheirer) Mittl, 86, of Kutztown, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 5, 2022 in Lehigh Valley Inpatient Hospice, Allentown. She was the widow of Frank Mittl who died on October 5, 2002.

Born in Longswamp Township, Shirley was a daughter of the late Paul M. and Marie (Brause) Scheirer. She was a 1954 graduate of Kutztown Area High School and was a faithful member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mertztown. Shirley worked as a factory worker at the former Saucony Shoe Co., for several years as well as other local manufacturing companies in our area. Most recently, Shirley was a homemaker and was an avid BINGO player.

Shirley is survived by her two sons, Michael F., husband of Kim A. (Fronheiser) Mittl, Mesa, AZ, and Craig A. Mittl, a resident of Good Shepherd Home- Raker Center, Allentown; two grandsons, Chadwick J. Mittl and Chase Mittl, step-grandson, Gregory M. Bryant; step-great-grandchildren, Lauren and Daniel Bryant; and sisters, Edna M. Helfrich, Mary J. Hilbert and Gloria M. Rohrbach.

Funeral services at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Mertztown and burial in Zion Maxatawny Union Cemetery, will be reserved for family and close friends and will be private.
