Sherry L. Greenawalt

Sherry L. (Walbert) Greenawalt, 78, of Breinigsville, PA, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2026 in Willow Brook Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Kutztown. She was the wife of Russell S. Greenawalt, II, whom she married on June 9. 1968.

Born in Allentown, PA, Sherry was a daughter of the late Thomas V. Walbert, Jr., and Lucille V. (Kraft) Walbert and was a 1966 graduate of Emmaus High School. She then went on to become an Insurance/Investment Broker, last working for A.L. Williams, for several years.

Sherry enjoyed quilting and was a jewelry collector. An ardent animal lover, Sherry's deep devotion to her feline companions brought her immeasurable happiness, and her home echoed with the gentle purring of her beloved cats.

Sherry is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Russell, who stood by her side through the ups and downs of life. Together, they created a partnership filled with love, joy, and endless memories. Sherry is also survived by a daughter, Chantelle R. Merkle, Orefield, PA; two grandchildren, Devon R. Haggerty and John F. Haggerty, IV; and a sister, Julia Tavar, Reading. In addition to her parents, Sherry was predeceased by a brother, Thomas V. Walbert, III.

Services for Sherry will be private, at the convenience of the family.
