Mr. Sheldon C. Boyer

Sheldon C. Boyer, 70, formerly of Blandon, PA and Summerville, SC, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2024 in his Magnolia, DE, residence. He was the loving husband of Mona D. (Moyer) Boyer, whom he married on August 4, 2006.

Born in Allentown, PA, Sheldon was a son of the late Clarence L. "Blackie" Boyer and Dolores F. (Keiser) Boyer. He was a 1971 graduate of Brandywine Heights High School, Topton, and was employed by East Penn Manufacturing Co., Inc., Lyon Station, PA, for 21 years until his retirement in 2016.

Sheldon enjoyed golfing and was a member of Camp Bow-Top Hunting Camp, Lycoming County. Above all, he loved spending time with his family, especially with his two grandchildren, "Little Man" and "Pea Pod".

Along with his wife Mona, Sheldon is survived by his two daughters, Angela D. (Boyer), wife of Patrick Kelly, Blandon, PA, and Katie R. (Boyer), wife of Jason Shand, Stevensville, MD; sister, Roxanne (Boyer) wife of Ernest S. Fox, Jr., Boyertown; brother, Kevin T. Boyer, husband of Rebecca A. Moyer, Mertztown; and his two beloved grandchildren, Zaden and Palmer Shand.

A viewing for Sheldon will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024 from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. in Ludwick Funeral Homes and Cremation Care, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, PA, followed by a funeral service to celebrate and honor his life beginning at 3:00 p.m. Burial will be held privately in Topton Union Cemetery, Topton, PA.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Sheldon's memory to the Zaden and Palmer Shand College Fund c/o Ludwick Funeral Homes and Cremation Care, P.O. Box 292, Kutztown, PA 19530-0292 to be used towards his grandchildren's education.
