Sharon A. (Seiwell) Schade, 74, of Shoemakersville, passed away suddenly on Monday, December 6, 2021 in her residence. She was the widow of Larry R. Schade, who died on December 3, 2003.
Born in Bloomsburg, Sharon was a daughter of the late Frederick R. and Anna C. (John) Seiwell and was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Kutztown. Sharon worked as a waitress at The Airport Diner and The Quality Shoppe, both in Kutztown, for many years. She also worked at the former Rentschler's Bakery, Kutztown. Sharon was a ticket taker at both the Kutztown Folk Festival and Kutztown Fair for many years. Sharon and her late husband Larry enjoyed attending car shows and craft fairs. She also liked to listen to oldies music including the local group, Flamin' Dick and The Hot Rods.
Sharon is survived by her two children, Tammy S. Becker, with whom she resided, and Brian K., husband of Jessica (Earle) Schade, Fishers, IN; eight grandchildren, Steven N. Becker; Justin T. Becker; Madison S. Schade; Macie S. Schade; Makenzie S. Schade; Mallory S. Schade; Margo S. Schade; and Aidyn M. Ruiz; five great grandchildren, Jayson T. Becker; Addyson L. Becker; Caleb G. Becker; Callie M. Becker; and Norah J. Becker; sister, Debbie J. (Seiwell), wife of Gregory K. Schrump, Kutztown; niece, Tara A. (Schrump), wife of Michael P. Bergstrom, and their children, Christopher and Cruz; and nephew, Joseph A. Schrump, fiance of Becca K. Koenig, all of Kutztown.
A funeral service will be held privately at the convenience of the family, officiated by The Rev. Scott M. Sanders. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery, Kutztown. There are no public calling hours.
The family requests contributions be made in Sharon's memory to Saint John's United Church of Christ, 257 West Walnut Street, Kutztown, PA 19530.
