Samuel S Nolt

Samuel S. Nolt, Jr., 81, of Richmond Township , died Friday, August 22, 2014 in his residence. He was the husband of Lena Z. (Newswanger) Nolt.  They were married March 19, 1968.  His first wife, Rebecca N. (Brubacher) Nolt died December 15, 1965 .

Born in East Earl Township, Lancaster County, he was a son of the late Samuel M., Sr., and Lizzie M. (Sauder) Nolt. Samuel was a member of the Goffdale Conference of Mennonites and attended Fleetwood Mennonite Church, Richmond Township. A retired farmer, he also worked as a floor worker at the Kutztown Produce Auction, last working this past week .

He is survived by Wife; Sons, Warren B. husband of Alice N. (Shirk) Nolt, Newville, Cumberland County, Titus B. husband of Ina G. (Burkholder) Nolt, Fleetwood, Daniel N. husband of Ruth M. (Horst) Nolt, Stanley, NY, Elvin N. husband of Marian B. (Leid) Nolt, Fleetwood and Allen N. husband of Miriam Z. (Hoover) Nolt, Stanley, NY; Daughters, Susie B. (Nolt) wife of Luke B. Shirk, East Earl, Lancaster County, Ida B. (Nolt) wife of Rufus H. Burkholder, Fleetwood, Bertha B. (Nolt) wife of Phares H. Burkholder, Kutztown, Anna N. Nolt, Fleetwood, Lydia N. (Nolt) wife of Lewis B. Zimmerman, Mertztown and Rachel N. (Nolt) wife of Paul S. Burkholder, Hopkinsville, KY. There are also 76 Grandchildren and 62 Great Grandchildren. Other survivors include Sisters, Lydiann S. (Nolt) widow of Melvin Hurst, Pan Yan, NY, Martha S. (Nolt) wife of Aaron Martin, Narvon, Lancaster County and Mary S. (Nolt) widow of Amos Martin, Ephrata; a Sister-in-law, Naomi (Gehman) Nolt, Mifflinburg, Union County, widow of predeceased Brother, Ivan S. Nolt. Samuel was also predeceased by his Brother, Ammon S. Nolt; a Sister, Esther S. (Nolt) Martin and a Son in infancy .

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at 9:30 AM from Center Mennonite Church, Deysher Road, Kutztown, with Bishop Eli W. Burkholder, officiating.  Interment in the adjoining cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at his late residence, 609 Crisscross Road, Fleetwood .
