S Jane Alden

S. Jane Alden, 94, a resident of The Lutheran Home at Topton and formerly of Bryn Athyn, Montgomery County, died Wednesday morning, February 25, 2015. She was the widow of Gideon T. Alden, Sr. who died August 18, 2009 .

Born in Pittsburgh , she was a daughter of the late Walter C. and Lois (Wilson) Rott. Mrs. Alden was a member of The Kempton New Church. She was also a member and past president of The Eastern Montgomery County Association for the blind. Mrs. Alden was a homemaker, amateur artist and sculptor. She also taught brail classes in several elementary schools .

She is survived by Daughters, Joan A. (Alden), wife of Salvatore J. Tuccio, Kutztown, Merrily A. (Alden), widow of Robert Evans, Santa Clara, CA, Twins, Lois A. (Alden), wife of Kevin Taylor and Ersa A. (Alden) Briggs, both of Phoeniz, AZ; Zanna A. (Alden), wife of Douglas Robertson, Kempton, Jacqueline A. (Alden), wife of Alan Johns, Lake Mary, FL; Son, Gideon T., Jr., husband of Loretta (Goosey) Alden, Kempton; 22 Grandchildren and 36 Great Grandchildren. She was predeceased by 2 Brothers .

At Mrs. Alden's request, services will be private at the convenience of the family . Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
