Ruth L Sanders

Ruth L. Sanders, 87, formerly of Topton, died Sunday, August 28, 2011, in the Lutheran Home at Topton, where she resided since 2003. She was the widow of R. Linwood Sanders, who died January 21, 1989.

Born in Topton, she was a daughter of the late Milton I., Jr. and Laura M. (Herbein) Leiby. Ruth was a 1942 graduate of Emmaus High School, and a graduate of Allentown Business School. She was employed as a secretary for the Brandywine Heights School District for over 25 years, retiring in 1986.

She is survived by Daughters, Janet R. (Sanders) wife of Robert E. Reed, Kutztown, Catherine M. (Sanders) wife of Richard F. Miller, Topton, Jane L.S. (Sanders) wife of Donald C. Sicher, Jr.,Topton; Sister, Lula C. (Leiby) wife of Ray M. Kutz, Topton. She is also survived by Grandchildren, Lisa J. (Miller) Geist companion of John Stichter, Mertztown, Jodie L. Miller companion of Chris Frey, Mertztown, Amy B. (Reed) wife of Tim Castle, Killarney Heights, New South Whales, Australia, William R.S., Sr., husband of Cathy (Sicilia) Reed, Philadelphia, and Great Grandchildren, Callie A. Rhode, Adam R. Castle, Aidan W. Reed, William R.S. Reed, Jr., Caterina C. Reed.

Funeral Services are Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 10:30 AM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, 19530. Interment in Hope Cemetery, Fleetwood. Friends may call Thursday, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home.
