Ruth G Herbert

Ruth G. Herbert, age 94, of Clay Valley Road, Fleetwood PA, died Friday, August 9, 2002 in the Mosser Nursing Home, Trexlertown PA. She was the Widow of Dr. J. Frederick Herbert, Jr., who died in 1972.

Born in Philadelphia PA, she was the daughter of the late Laurance and Ida A. (Trumbauer) Gardiner. She was a Sales Clerk at the former Gimbel's Department Store and Strawbridge & Clothier, Philadelphia PA during the 1930's. She also worked as a File Clerk for Penn Mutual Insurance Company, Philadelphia, during the 1920's. She was a graduate of the Camden Business College & School of Industrial Arts, Camden NJ, specializing in Costume Design.

She is survived by her Daughter, Beverly A. Herbert of Alburtis PA; Son, Laurance G. Herbert of Fleetwood PA; and Brother, Arthur Noel Gardiner of Bridgewater NJ.

Memorial Services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, August 15, 2002 from the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown PA. Family and Friends may call 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM Thursday in the Funeral Home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the Family.
