Ruth E Reitz

Ruth E. Reitz, 90, of Kutztown, died Monday, December 17, 2012 in Phoebe Berks Health Center, Wernersville. She was the widow of Dr. Melvin L. Reitz, who died June 15, 2011.

Born in Albany Township, she was a daughter of the late Reverend Morris and Florence (Huntzinger) Krause. She was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, Kutztown. Mrs. Reitz was educated in the Upper Mahoney Township School System. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed quilting, reading, traveling, and music. Mrs. Reitz was an accomplished pianist and organist. Throughout her life, she participated in many church activities and committees.

She is survived by a Son, David K., husband of Zanna (Lindner) Reitz, Hanover; Daughters, Linda S. (Reitz), wife of Dr. Ward G. Becker, Kutztown, Marian L. (Reitz) Snyder, Coopersburg; Grandchildren, Margaret Reitz, Rebecca Reitz, Crotti, Susan Becker Hillman, Matthew Becker, and Laura Snyder; and 3 Great Grandchildren. She was predeceased by a Granddaughter, Johanna Snyder in 1990; and 2 Brothers.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Friedens Cemetery, Stony Run.
