Ruth E Acker

Ruth E. Acker, 84, formerly of Lyons, died Saturday, January 12, 2008 in Kutztown Manor where she was a resident since 1997. She was the wife of the late Ernest M. Acker who died in April 12, 1997.

Born in Fleetwood, PA she was a daughter of the late Fernando and Maggie A. (Lamp) Schlegel. She was employed as a sewing machine operator at the former Temple Apparel Company for seven years, until her retirement in 1985. She was a member of Bethel Church of the Nazarene, Kutztown.

She is survived by Daughter, Deloros J. (Acker) Trumbauer, Petersburg, WV.; Sons, Frederick C. Billiard, Fleetwood, Edwin J. Billiard, Mertztown, Dale G. Schlegel, Fleetwood; Sister, Miriam M. (Schlegel) McClelland, Woodruff, SC. In addition she is survived by 4 Grandchildren; 6 Great Grandchildren.

Memorial Services are Saturday, January 19 2008 at 11:00 AM from Bethel Church of the Nazarene, 125 Koffee Lane, Kutztown. Inurnment will be in Lyons Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
