Ruth A Schlenker

Ruth A. Schlenker, 86, of Kutztown, died Monday, April 18, 2011 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the widow of Raymond F. Schlenker, who died February 5, 2007.

Born in Richmond Twp., she was a daughter of the late E. Solan and Linda M. (Berk) Fegely. She along with her late husband owned and operated the former Schlenker’s Garage from 1980 to 1985 and the former Ray’s Sunoco from 1966 to 1980, both in Kutztown.

She is survived by Daughter, Brenda L. (Schlenker) wife of Lloyd Feiring, Kutztown; Son, Clifford R. “Bup” husband of Susan D. (Breiner) Schlenker, Kutztown; Sister, Joyce M. Fegely, Kutztown; and Brothers, B. Riley Fegely, Macungie, Roland H. Fegely, Reading. Other survivors include 3 Grandchildren, Tracy A. (Feiring) wife of Eric Zebert, Mandy S. (Schlenker) wife of Gregg Garrison, and Bethany L. (Schlenker) wife of Michael Smith; Step Grandchildren, Rebecca J. (Kocher) wife of John Graeff, Richard R., III, husband Dianne (Fellman) Kocher, and Catherine S. (Kocher) Kriebel; 5 Great Grandchildren, Cody Emerick, Amber M. Zebert, Courtney M. Huber, Samantha M. Zebert, and David Smith; a Step Great Grandson, Matthew J. Graeff; a Great-Great Granddaughter, Lilyana M. Delgado. Ruth was predeceased by Sisters, Melba M. Fegely, M. June (Fegely) Roth, A. Pauline (Fegely) Smith; and Brothers, J. Russell, Roger C., and Ralph H. Fegely.

Funeral Services are Thursday, April 21, 2011, at 1:30 PM from Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, 19530. Interment in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Fleetwood. Friends may call Thursday, from 12:30 to 1:30 PM in the funeral home.
