Roy P. Keim, Jr., 76, of Kempton, died Thursday, December 23, 2021, in Penn State Health - Saint Joseph Medical Center, Bern Township. Born in Washington, D.C., Roy was a son of the late Roy P., Sr., and Winifred E. (Fehnel) Keim.
Binkey, as he was affectionately known, was self employed as an electrician for many years. He also worked as a union laborer for many years.
Roy was an accomplished motorcycle drag racer competing on the East Coast. He also competed in Corvette drag racing at Maple Grove Raceway.
Binkey was a member of Kutztown Rod & Gun Club; Kempton Fire Company; and a Lifetime member of Reading Motorcycle Club, Oley.
Roy is survived by a daughter, Lisa D. (Keim), wife of James Gerner, Laureldale; sister, Sandra A. (Keim), widow of Daryl R. Hassler, Mertztown; brother, Donald R. Keim, Sr., Mertztown. In addition to his parents, Roy was predeceased by sisters, Marjorie T. (Keim) Moyer, Virginia M. (Keim) Terry and a brother, Clyde L. Keim.
At Roy's request, services will be private at the convenience of the family.
